Who says you shouldn't wear pajamas all day?

It's 3 in the afternoon, and I'm still not dressed. Well, I guess the word 'dressed' is relative. I am actually wearing clothes, just not clothes that I would wear out in public. Though I didn't make much effort to hide myself when the treadmill man came to fix my treadmill this morning. At least I was wearing... I mean holding (sometimes it feels like wearing, doesn't it?) a baby the entire time so nice treadmill man probably didn't notice that I wasn't wearing a bra. Although, since I've nursed four babies, and my frontal "used to be perky" region now actually does more hiding under my armpits, I'm thinking it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway. But that's a different post all together.

You see though, the treadmill man coming is part of the reason that I didn't get dressed. I was going to run on the treadmill, and I couldn't do that until the treadmill man came. So he came and went and then it was lunchtime, so I fixed lunch for the kids and put the baby down for a nap. Nap time seems like a great time to do something like run on the treadmill, but my sink was overflowing with dishes, and the living room needed to be vacuumed, and the bathroom smelled like pee, and then there's those other three kids that quite often need my attention (I know... the nerve of them). So I figured I could get all of those things done, and THEN go run on the treadmill, and then get dressed.

But now I'm blogging... and I seem to have forgotten the point... Oh that's right! It was to run on the treadmill and then get dressed. But now it's past 3:00 and I didn't run, the baby is awake, and I STILL look like a booger woman.

Where does the day go besides in to the laundry basket and the dishwasher, the toilet and the vacuum cleaner?

I guess it also goes in to the tiny heads and mouths of these wonderful little people that call me Mom and don't actually care if my thighs are exercised or if I'm wearing "daytime clothes" or not.

I'll focus on that for the rest of the day... and avoid any and all mirrors or otherwise reflective surfaces.

Perhaps I'll get dressed tomorrow.
