Josh and I had a conversation with our kids this afternoon about why we sing a closing song in church. We were trying to help them understand that the last song helps to prepare us for the closing prayer that will end the meeting. Before we got to this point, we asked the kids what it was okay to do during the hymns... you know, expecting answers like, "sing, listen, get ready for the prayer..."
Instead, Jordan replied,
"We can talk louder, because everyone else is singing!"
Practical, isn't he?
