In today's forecast...

My husband has an unnatural fascination with the weather. Really. He checks it at least once a day, probably about as often as I check the Clay Aiken message boards. Or maybe less. I'm kidding. totally not kidding. So, Josh checks the weather every day and gets really excited when there are thunder storms coming, or hurricanes to track. Giddy like a school boy, I tell you.

We always joke that he missed his calling in life and that he really ought to have been a weather man for a local news station. We joked about it. Nothing more. At least I thought nothing more.

Then one quiet afternoon, I found my husband, who actually is a grown man, in case you forgot, standing in the living room, alone, doing a weather forecast... as if he were on the evening news.

I wanted to laugh... really, really hard. But I didn't... I didn't want to interrupt him. I was afraid it would interrupt the forecast, and I really wanted to know if it was going to rain the next day.

(edited to add: in case you think I totally embarrass my husband on purpose with no regard for how he might feel about it... he read this first and was totally okay with me sacrificing his dignity for the sake of my post. He's sweet like that.)
