You might have wrapping paper that looks like this:
Notice the Christmas paper. And the girly paper. Happy Merry Christmas Birthday, Henr….ietta. I hope you love being three years old! It seems so hard to believe… he just got so big, so fast! He looks like a big boy now, doesn’t he?
Henry’s birthday was the 24th of April, nine days after Ivy was born. Though I didn’t think to make sure I had enough wrapping paper, I did, at least, manage to buy his presents before I went to the hospital. It’s a good thing too, since I didn’t think about his birthday again until the night before.
His birthday wasn’t the only event overshadowed, or at least punctuated by a birth. My 29th birthday was three days after Henry’s, on the 27th of April, and my ten year anniversary was just five days after Ivy’s birth, on the 20th. Not so much celebrating going on five days postpartum… I can tell you that. One more birthday at the end of this week, (Jordan, turning 9. Isn’t that crazy? 9!) and we’ll be out of the April/May holiday craziness.
It’s all good though. Spring is a great time for babies. And it’s not like I’d want to give this one back in order to make life a little less hectic.
Sigh. Something so sweet about sleeping babies.
(So, not much of a post here, besides cute pictures. But one can only have the main page of their blog talking about poop for so long before they feel the integrity of it all start to deteriorate. I can assure you… my days of thoughtful posting aren’t gone forever. They’re just on vacation for a while… off exploring the world with “8 hours rest”, “long shower”, and “clean floor.” I hope they all return soon.)
Additional note: This post was generated using Windows Live Writer, as suggested by my good friend Cindy. Can I just tell you how easy this is? It’s compatible with all the popular blog platforms and is so much easier than blogger, especially when it comes to picture placement and what not. Try it. It may already be on your system, but if it isn’t, you can download it here, for free.
