Why I Love You, my Blog Friends

The baby woke up with a terrible cough and the three year old woke up with a terrible cough and the morning was just not going right. I was on the phone cancelling the childcare lined up for my spin class because sick children need to stay home with Mom and the spit up was cold dripping down the inside of my arm and there was calling from the kitchen for "Apple juice, Mommy! APPPLLE JUICE!!!!"

Sometimes these little people, they need so much - they call and call and wake up in the middle of the night and spill their cereal and drip juice onto the couch and the needing and the wanting just keeps on and on. Standing in the middle of it all, pinching the spot just above my nose and in between my eyes I thought, this morning, "not another ounce of me left to give..."

And not yet 8 AM.

Wearily, I settled the baby to nurse and clicked open my Reader. It was filled with words and words and only words until I read Stephanie of Diapers and Divinity. Her message said service is love, and love is God and it spoke to my heart and filled me up.

And then I read Jessica of One Wild and Crazy Life and she spoke of reaching for God and realizing that always, He is reaching for us.

And then, this morning that was all wrong was suddenly perfectly right.

So this Tuesday, I am grateful for you, my friends, that share little parts of yourselves that lift up and inspire, that remind me to breathe and be grateful and feel the joy.

This post is a part of Tuesdays Unwrapped, over at Chatting at the Sky.
