My head is full of goldfish crumbs.

Last night while I was getting ready for bed, I thought of a subject that was perfect for blogging... I wrote a few lines in my head, smiled cause I thought I could make it funny, then finished getting ready for bed and promptly forgot whatever it was I thinking about.

What can I say. My head is full of goldfish crumbs.

It's a problem really. See, I normally have several different dialogues going on in my head... not the kind of conversations that make me crazy, because they aren't actually exchanges that involve me. (I'm not saying I'm NOT crazy... just not crazy in the "I hear voices" sort of way) They are more like exchanges between characters... people with stories that eventually I'm going to write. As soon as my brain is no longer filled with crumbs. And juicy juice. And moon sand. (Seriously... WHO thought moon sand was a good idea?) Problem is, it's hard to keep track of all the 'would-be' stories and blog posts. Sometimes they make it to paper. But not always... not often.

You want further proof my head is totally in the sand? (Or the moon sand?) I left my car keys at my sister's house. That wouldn't be a big deal if we lived in the same town. But we don't. So she has to mail me my keys. Lame, I know. But Josh drove us home that night, with his keys... so I didn't actually notice my keys were gone until we arrived at home and I looked for them so I could open the front door.

I do not have a good track record with keys. Sort of like my sister-in-law and airports. But those are stories for her to tell... not me. :)

My keys get left behind, or lost, or hidden inside the VCR, or in the trash can, or the toy box, or any other number of places that only a toddler would think to hide Mommy's very important car keys. Or at my sister's house. On her piano. Where I left them. Because I am apparently less responsible than a three year old.

When Josh suggested I just use my valet key until I get my own set of keys back, I responded,

"Um, well, the key at Inkmom's house IS my valet key... because my original key chain was lost two houses ago... and I uh, never found them again. Even when we moved."

That was totally not my fault though because I DROVE home the day they were lost!! Those keys had to be inside the house somewhere. I am convinced they were thrown in the trash. Or maybe eaten by the baby.

Once when I came out of Sam and Lucy's gymnastics class, with my arms full of stuff and children, I walked over to my van and repeatedly pushed the little clicker that unlocks and opens the doors to my van. It didn't work, so I shook it and tried again. It still didn't work, so assuming the clicker's battery must be dead, I tried to open the van with the actual key. Then I realized it wasn't my car.... which is a great reason for the clicker not to work. (It's important to note that it WAS actually a near replica of my own car... lest I look too much like a complete idiot...) When I got to my own car three spaces down, it was unlocked and both sliding doors were open.... so convenient!

See... I told you my track record wasn't very good.

And now for an entry in the totally unrelated, "too much information" category...

My dog likes to eat crayons. Lots and lots of crayons. And since my house is ALWAYS totally clean and the floors are always clear of legos, and barbie shoes, and crayons... or maybe it's the complete opposite, she finds crayons a lot. I think it's her way of making it easier for me when she poops in the house. It's like she's saying,

"I pooped! But look.... It's purple!"

So pretty.
