Michael Buble's Crazy Love

So, when one is asked to review two albums by very similar artists, it's hard not to compare the two. I mean, let's face it. Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Buble do have really similar sounds. They both have an old school, big band sort of sound with voices that are smooth and lovely and oh, so captivating.

Except, I think I like Michael Buble more.

His new album, Crazy Love is available TODAY. And it's awesome. I've been listening to my pre-release copy in the car all week and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Here's the thing about Michael Buble. With a voice like his, you can't really stray far from the big band, jazzy sound of his genre. He fits there. It works for his voice. And yet, he manages to do it with an element of youth and freshness that I think was lacking in my man Harry's album. It isn't that his voice is any better. But the album? It has better production, better arrangements. It's bold and original, and yet still comfortably within the vocal showcase vein of music that fits Michael's style.

His rendition of Crazy Love, the title track, is soothing and wonderful, and oh, when he sings Georgia on my Mind... sigh. Just trust me on that one.

To learn more about Michael's new album, you can click over to his website, here.

His album is currently number 1 on Itunes, and is available for download, and is also available on Amazon, where it is also ranked number 1, here. The click over to Amazon is worth it... you can watch a video and here the full length version of Crazy Love.

And last, but certainly not least, turn on Oprah today. Mr. Buble will be on her show, and I'm certain he will sing.
