I have shomething to shay.

So, Jordan is currently missing several teeth. He tries really hard to sound normal, but most of the time, his s's, come out as sh's. He likes to eat shpaghetti, he hash a shister named Lushy, and he wear shocks on his feet. If he tries really hard, sometimes he can say a normal s sound. But not very often.

As a result, Sam and Lucy have begun mimicking his temporary speech impediment.

Sam came into the bedroom the other day with crayons and a coloring book, looking for a place to sit.

He said, "Hey Mommy... I need a place to sh*it."

Uhhh, wow. Let's pick a place other than the bedroom.

*Originally posted in May of 2008. An update? Jordan's teeth have grown in nicely and he no longer has a speech impediment. And lucky for everyone, Sam and Lucy dropped the habit as well.

(there's another post from me today over here.)
