Family Update, Scripture Style.

And it came to pass, in the third year, the toddler was finally trained in the ways of the potty. And there was much rejoicing in the land. Henceforth and forever, the mother vowed to never have more than one child that needeth diapers at a time.

Amen, and amen.

In that same year, the oldest did take the tests that shall be called 3rd grade EOG’s, over which there was much stressing in the land. But the oldest did not stress, for he claimed to be smart enough, thus sayeth the oldest. And he did take the test, and did pass with flying colors, his score reaching the 99th percentile, thus justifying his cockiness. And there was much rejoicing in the land.

Verily, I say unto you, the two of middle age, that did once share a womb, did also perform in a show of tumbling, where cuteness and excessive amounts of character did pour forth. And the rejoicing did continue for the space of many days.

And the baby did wax fat, giving further cause to rejoice.

And the parents did feel much gratitude and love in their hearts, for all the rejoicing that was in the land.

So, I know I could have just posted pictures, but where’s the fun in that? To site inspiration: one of my favorite bloggers ever, on the entire planet, once wrote an epistle to her children, in true scripture form. She’s an Institute teacher, well versed in the words of the Old and New Testaments and managed to write a blog post, in verse, that I still think about, even months and months after it was posted. It’s hilarious. You should read it. And you can… HERE.
