Blog Business and Leconte Pictures

I’ll be honest. I was worried the little ones wouldn’t make it all the way to the top. I had visions of Josh carrying one six year old on his shoulders, and the other on his back for the last three miles. I also had visions of one or all of them tumbling head first off the side of the mountain into a dark and scary abyss of nothing, right after a fight with an angry black bear using nothing but bare hands and a pocket knife, a battle that fortunately resulted in the loss of only one of Josh’s arms.
(Perhaps I’m prone to imagine the worst. It’s why I don’t like flying. But these are my babies, you see? I worry about them walking down the stairs too fast so climbing a mountain is sort of a big deal.)
But they went, they hiked, they climbed, they conquered. They had a great time, and they all returned whole and well and with all limbs securely attached.

AND… they fed leftover breakfast pancakes to Llamas.  I know!

Where’s my pancake?

(He didn’t actually say that. I’m pretty sure Llamas don’t talk.)
Once the llamas were fed, games were played, cabins were messed, and look! A deer!

I’m so glad they all had a great time. And maybe I’m a little jealous that I wasn’t along as well.

And now for some blog business, I’ve changed over my comment system to Disqus. I think I’m going to like it. It’s supposed to make replying to your comments – something that I really like to do – much easier and more user friendly. But it’s different, and it’s change and that makes me feel all wonky inside. So help me out and leave a comment, would you? Comment and let me know if you like the new system. Is it easier? Harder? About the same? Does it make you want to run and cry in the corner? Is it likely to make you NOT leave a comment because change makes you wonky too? Please discuss. And then go feed some pancakes to your llama.

Okay. Just kidding. I tried disqus for a day, and the wonkiness won out. Too many people emailed me and said they couldn't see the comment form at all. Don't know if it was how it was installed on my site, or what, but it isn't worth the headache. Why fix what isn't broken, you know? The Blogger comment form is working just fine for me. So I'm sticking with it. Thanks for all your input though. If you're late to the party, disregard anything above that does not have to do with pancakes and llamas.
